We run trips to the colorful Old-towns with mixed culture of ethnic minorities in Yunnan to gigantic mountains and steep valleys of the Tibetan Plateau with permanent Tibtan farming villages in Kham (Ganzi in Sichuan) , and yak herding nomads on the vast plains of Amdo( Sichuan & Qinghai Tibetan regions) on the northeast of the Tibetan plateau.

Northwest Yunnan Trip

Northwest Yunnan is a blend of soaring mountains, pristine lakes and dizzyingly deep gorges and valleys. This is the part of Yunnan to head to for overland trips through stunning scenery and mountain village and epic treks: whether walk the stunning Great Ridge Trail that connects Tiger or another numerous family orientated easy hike to strenuous treks around Shangrila Town. Northwest Yunnan is home to the little-seen Nù Jiāng Valley, where Yunnan meets both Tibet and Myanmar, and in the north there is the Tibetan town Shangrila, now a small size city with its giant monastery on the outskirt of of the town, in the Far East, Lugu Lake, a vast lake that straddles the Yunnan- Sichuan border and is home to the Mosuo people, the last matriarchal society in the world. last but not least, Lìjiāng, a Unesco World Heritage Site that sucks in both domestic and foreign visitors.
